Officer Myles Greenberg of the Harper College Police Department and Instructor Raeghan Graessle (who was recently awarded tenure) teamed up to teach physics from a different vantage point.

The story begins 20 years ago…

In 1997, while a police officer in Elk Grove Village, Officer Greenberg became a crash reconstructionist through a program offered by the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety. He then spent more than 10 years making presentations to local junior high school math students – using an actual police investigation of a crash – to show them how basic algebraic equations are used by crash investigators to solve the mystery of “What happened?”

Fast forward to 2014… Officer Greenberg retired from the Elk Grove Village Police Department and became a police officer here at Harper. This past year, he serendipitously met Raeghan.
