We remain grateful to our faculty partners who continue to encourage student success with Starfish. Harper’s early-alert system provides a wonderful opportunity to address student concerns early to support retention and student completion. Below are a few reminders on how to make the best use of Starfish.
Complete Progress Surveys:
- You will be prompted via email if one or more of your courses is selected for early alert. For Spring 2022, there will be only one early alert survey for any selected section from the following parts of term: full term, 13 weeks, and 8 weeks.
- View the Spring 2022 Progress Survey Schedule by the associated Part of Term.
- Progress Surveys remain open for three weeks and will close at 11 p.m. on the designated due date.
Raise a Flag or Kudos (anytime!):
- You can raise a flag or kudos for any student, at any time, in Starfish.
- Although comments on a flag are not required, providing as much information as possible helps our advisors to target strategies and resources specific to your concerns.
- Students (and advisors) love to see positive progress! Kudos provide a unique opportunity for the student’s success network to celebrate their hard effort.
