Have an idea for a new project? Want to develop or pilot a program or service, but lack the funding to support it? The Harper College Educational Foundation has up to $100,000 available through the Resource for Excellence (RFE) grant program which could be the answer. The RFE grants are an excellent way to develop, implement, and evaluate creative and innovative ideas and activities.
The RFE Grant Application Period is now open, and will close at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021. Funds for this annual cycle will be available for use on July 1, 2021 and must be spent by June 30, 2022.
The proposed project should incorporate innovation, creativity, and/or originality. The objectives of the project must be clearly illustrated through ideation, resourcefulness, and collaborations, and catalyze the improvement, enhancement, or expansion of programs or services that ultimately support Harper’s mission, FY2021-2024 Strategic Plan, and one or more of the College’s Strategic Goals. RFE grants can provide funding for yearly projects (for a maximum of three years) or one-time events.
Two RFE Grant Application workshops are being offered to help potential applicants with completing the grant application package:
- Friday, January 22 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- Tuesday, February 16 from 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Both workshops will be conducted via Webex. Register now for one of the workshops. The workshops provide an opportunity to learn more about the RFE program process, review the RFE Application, Guidelines, and Grading Rubric, and gain insight into writing a successful application.
All application documents and important dates are provided on the Grants Department HIP webpage.
