  • Escape Room Challenge: One of the options was to participate in an Escape Room challenge. The faculty who participated in the challenge at the retreat “escaped” in 10 minutes! Do you think you can beat them? Try your hand at the Faculty Retreat Escape Room. If you need help, here is the answer key. Interested in building a digital escape room for your students? Complete an Academy Support Form request.
  • Goosechase: A second option was to participate in Goosechase, which is a virtual scavenger hunt where teams had to submit images and answers via their mobile devices. View photos.
  • Kahoot!: Another option was to participate in Kahoot!, which is a game-based learning platform with user-generated multiple-choice quizzes. The three winners of the game were Charlotte Schulze-Hewett, Math; Cara Mullen, Math; and Jennifer Rojek, Student Development.
  • Quiplash: The final game option was to play or observe Quiplash, a battle of wits inspired by Harper faculty retreat-themed prompts, such as “what are the best places to nap on campus?” The winner of the game was Bethanie-Michelle Statler, Biology.
