The 2023 Faculty Retreat, “Toward Community Responsiveness and a Shared Vision,” will take place at Eaglewood Resort in Itasca on April 14-15, 2023. Doors will open at 12 p.m. with light lunch available to take into the general session, which begin at 1 p.m. with a keynote from Dr. Jeff Duncan-Andrade, Associate Professor of Raza Studies and Education at San Francisco State University, followed by a discussion and faculty sharing. After dinner, the evening programming will include community-building events hosted by faculty facilitators such as the “Moth Story Hour” led by Maham Khan, Journalism faculty, and “Outside the Text Team Trivia” with emcee Karega Cooper, Math faculty. For those who register to stay overnight, Saturday’s program will include a light breakfast to take into the morning session, part II of our faculty dialogue on Equity and Pedagogy: Creating a Shared Vision, which is continued from Spring 2023 Opening Week and will end just before lunch.
