Save the date for the 13th Annual Assessment Conference and Share Fair. This year’s conference will be held virtually and will feature the inspiring and effective educator, author, and speaker, Flower Darby! Flower will share her perspectives on exploring equitable and engaging evidence-based best practices for online teaching and assessment. The Learning Assessment Committee will also be looking for a few applicants to be part of a panel discussion; details will be shared in the coming weeks.

Flower Darby is committed to caring for students in the classroom. She advocates tirelessly for student success through teaching excellence. She’s taught community college and university classes for more than 25 years in a range of subjects including English, Technology, Leadership, Dance, and Pilates. Flower is the lead author of the book, Small Teaching Online: Applying Learning Science in Online Classes and also a columnist for The Chronicle of Higher Education.

Flower Darby is a Senior Instructional Designer and adjunct faculty member at Northern Arizona University. She also teaches online classes for Estrella Mountain Community College in Avondale, Arizona.
