Join fellow faculty and staff in small group exchanges about Kevin Coderre’s artwork, “We Serve and Protect, Laquan McDonald Memorial.”

This session will be a safe place for honest and open expression on questions related to the Laquan McDonald shooting as well as Coderre’s artwork: What are some of the social issues that may have precipitated the Laquan McDonald shooting? What is Harper’s response to the incident and the artwork?

This session builds on the prior presentations, “The Artist’s Perspective: “We Serve and Protect, Laquan McDonald Memorial,” and “The Societal Perspective: “We Serve and Protect, Laquan McDonald Memorial,” by providing an opportunity for individuals to hear others’ experiences and to share responses.
