A 2017-2018 RFE grant allowed the Art Department to purchase an additional 5 cameras for its loaner library so that more students could afford to enroll in photography courses.

Do you have a great idea that needs funding? Resource for Excellence grants are an opportunity for faculty and staff to apply for funding offered through the Harper College Educational Foundation.

The Foundation encourages innovation and creativity among faculty and staff soliciting financial support for projects that support the strategic plan of Harper College. Funding will only be given to those projects aligned with the strategic plan, presidential goals or Institutional Effectiveness Measures (IEMs). Project innovation and creativity must be present in proposals and illustrated through invention, use of resources in creative ways, creating services and impact to student outcomes and/or success.

RFE grants are only available once a year and funds will be made available July 1, 2018 for programs that run in the 2018-2019 school year. The application period will open on Monday, January 22 and close on Friday, March 2.

A Resource for Excellence grant development workshop will also be offered on Wednesday, February 7 from 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. in Building W, Room W218.

More information and application materials can be found on the Grants Department HIP page.
