Read Around the World: Miracle in the Andes

Join us as Read Around the World, the Harper Faculty World Book Seminar, read’s Nando Parrado’s, Miracle in the Andes: 72 Days on the Mountain and My Long Trek Home. You may be familiar with Piers Paul Read’s story entitled: Alive!, this incredible story is now being told by one of the survivors, Nando Parrado, who was instrumental in saving the remaining airplane crash victims by walking out of the Andres Mountains and alerting the world of their survival. Please join us for this incredible story of determination and grit in the face of impossible odds, now told thirty years later with grace and emotion.

Academy for Teaching Excellence Workshop Cancellation Policy
Occasionally, the Academy for Teaching Excellence may have to cancel a workshop due to circumstances beyond our control. With the exception of instructor illness and inclement weather, the decision to cancel a workshop will be made 48 hours prior to the scheduled date of the workshop. In the event of a cancellation, the Academy will make every effort to notify registered participants via their Harper College email account.
