Copyright in Online Teaching & Learning: Webinar
May 10 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
This webinar will focus on the copyright considerations specific to teaching and learning online. Participants will learn about the provisions of U.S. copyright law, such as fair use, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and the TEACH Act, that apply to their online teaching activities. Participants will also learn more about their rights as creators of online course content. As a result of this webinar, participants will be better prepared with best practices for engaging in teaching and learning activities that make legal and responsible use of materials in online education.
This session will be run in the new Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, and participants can join the session from on or off campus. A recording of the session will be available after the live session.
Presenter: Jessica Reyman, Ph.D., associate professor and director of graduate studies in Rhetoric and Professional Writing at Northern Illinois University
