Copyright & Fair Use in Higher Education: Hands-on Workshop
May 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
This hands-on workshop will provide an overview of copyright law as it applies to the work of faculty, staff, and administrators in higher education. Participants will receive an introduction to the copyright provisions and exceptions, including fair use, that apply to our work as teachers, scholars, and instructional support staff. The session will include an interactive discussion of common scenarios about copyright. Workshop participants will come away with answers to questions about copyright and a more informed approach to managing copyright as content creators and educators.
Presenter: Jessica Reyman, Ph.D., associate professor and director of graduate studies in Rhetoric and Professional Writing at Northern Illinois University
Dr. Jessica Reyman will also be presenting copyright webinar on May 10 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Both of these sessions are open to all faculty and staff. Attend either or both sessions and take ownership of your copyright knowledge! Learn more about the webinar and Dr. Jessica Reyman.
