Brian Cremins: Captain Marvel and the Art of Nostalgia

Join us for a discussion with Brian Cremins about his new book, Captain Marvel and the Art of Nostalgia.

Brian Cremins is an Associate Professor of English at Harper College. His essays on comics and graphics novels have appeared in the International Journal of Comic Art, Studies in American Humor, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and in the edited collections Comics and the U.S. South (2012) and Reading African American Autobiography (2017). Captain Marvel and the Art of Nostalgia, published by the University Press of Mississippi, is his first book.
